They come in an assortment of colors and sizes and types, each uniquely adapted to the environment it lives in. But whatever the variant, they are magnificent, always busy with the task of living and spreading beauty through their own little corner of the world.
A hummingbird charm is a group, or flock, of hummingbirds. Like a charm, this site is a place for women of all kinds to come together to be inspired - and to find the tools and resources they need to make their days just a little less busy.
Because for all of our variations, we're better together.

About Us
Hummingbird Charm was founded by a group of authors who've spent enough time online to know women need a refuge there, a place to feel empowered, not judged, and has grown to a collective of talented women from all walks of life.
Tess Thompson
Like her characters in the River Valley Collection, Tess Thompson hails from a small town in southern Oregon, and will always feel like a small town girl, despite the fact she’s lived in Seattle for over twenty-five years. She loves music and dancing, books and bubble baths, cooking and wine, movies and snuggling. She cries at sappy commercials and thinks kissing in the rain should be done whenever possible.
She currently lives in a suburb of Seattle, Washington with her brand new husband, the hero of her own love story, and their Brady Bunch clan of two sons, two daughters and five cats, all of whom keep her too busy, often confused, but always amazed. Yes, that’s four kids, three of whom are teenagers, and five cats. Pray for her. |
Heather Huffman
Heather Huffman lives in a small town on the border of the Missouri Ozarks that many liken to a modern-day Mayberry. Personally, she likes to think of her quirky little town as her very own Midwestern Stars Hollow. In addition to being the author of twelve novels in the women's fiction and romantic suspense genres, Heather also gives talks about topics as varied as the fight against modern-day slavery to changes in the book publishing industry. The fight against human trafficking is one she became passionate about while researching her debut novel, Throwaway. In so many ways, that novel changed the trajectory of her life.
When not writing, Huffman loves having adventures with her three teenage boys or spending time with their dogs and horses. |
Tamsen Schultz |
Tamsen Schultz is a born and bred California girl with a little bit of a gypsy heart. She lives in a small town in Northern California on a not-too-big-but-not-too-small piece of property where she writes, works, parents, farms (using that term loosely), and hangs out with her husband – usually at one of the breweries or wineries they are lucky enough to live close to. She is the author of the romantic suspense Windsor Series, an RWA Daphne Du Maurier Excellence in Mystery finalist, and a three time finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association annual contest. When not writing, working, parenting, or wife-ing, she can almost always be found traveling, reading about traveling, or plotting to travel—or maybe just enjoying a glass of wine and a good book on her porch.
